Bob Hansmann - Owner and Operator

Bob is a native of the Valley.  Bob holds a dual bachelor's degree in Resource Management and Environmental Biology from the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry, a master's degree in Resource Management and Administration from Antioch University New England, and a soil science certification from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.  In 2008 he completed the requirements to become a NOFA Accredited Organic Land Care Professional.  He continues to seek out educational opportunities as often as possible.

From 1989 to 2001 Bob ran a successful landscape business before switching gears in 2001 to work with the Department of Environmental Protection Wetlands Conservancy Program, based in Boston, where he helped map out the wetlands of Massachusetts from Worcester to Great Barrington. Bob also delineated wetlands and writing wetland reports for clients and environmental consulting firms. 

In 2007, as more and more information relevant to the problems associated with pesticides and herbicides became available, and a pull to work again with friends and neighbors in the community, Bob decided to start Bob's Organic Lawn Care.
